Indian Railways ran a special cleanliness campaign for a month starting on October 2. During this time, special emphasis was placed on improving the cleanliness of the railway stations and trains and on junk disposal. Junk disposal freed up 12.15 lakh square feet of space in the railways and earned a revenue of Rs 452.40 crore.

Officials said that the campaign emphasized promoting the culture of cleanliness, improving organizational efficiency, and purposefully connecting employees and the public in the Indian Railways.

Earnings Were Earned From The Cleanliness Of The Workplace and Cleaning Of Railway Stations

A total of 56,168 cleanliness campaigns were run monthly, focusing on workplace cleanliness and cleaning of railway stations. Special Rail Chaupals were organized at New Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, Nagpur, Kota, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, and other major railway stations.

These programs focused on increasing awareness about cleanliness, improving public participation, resolving complaints and promoting a reduction in single-use plastic as part of environmental sustainability efforts.

To Overcome The Problems Of Passengers, Railways Will Run Special Trains

Even after Diwali, trains on many routes are crowded. Passengers are not getting confirmed tickets, so they face difficulties when travelling. To overcome the problems of passengers, the railway administration has announced to run special trains.

In this episode, a weekly special train was announced to run from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Jabalpur. Special train number 02181 will leave Jabalpur railway station on November 9 and 14 at 8:20 pm.

The Special Train Will Stop At These Stations On The Way

It will reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 12:15 pm the next afternoon. On return, it will leave November 10 and 15 at 1:25 pm and reach Jabalpur at 4:45 am the next day.

This special train will stop at Jabalpur, Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagar, Malkhedi, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra Cantonment, and Mathura on its way.

Even on the day of Chhath Puja, a crowd of passengers was seen at the Delhi railway stations. To ensure passengers would not face any problems, 12 special trains left Delhi on Tuesday.
