Another greenfield expressway is being built to relieve people from the jams in Delhi NCR and Haryana. The purpose of building this expressway is to connect Noida Airport with Yamuna Expressway and Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. A 31 km long greenfield expressway is being constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) from Ballabhgarh in Haryana to Noida Airport.
What Was The Problem?
Yamuna Authority resolved the problem of Noida Airport’s road connectivity. Due to the pond in Dayanatpur village, the road will be elevated instead. Also, there is a dispute with the farmers regarding land compensation. The authority has also solved this problem. Soon, the authorities will start the construction work to take possession of the land.
Target To Build Expressway By September 2
The construction of the Greenfield Expressway will cost Rs 2114 crore. The target has been set to complete the expressway by September 2. A 22-kilometer expressway will be constructed in Haryana, and a 9-kilometer expressway will be constructed in Noida, UP.
Interchange Road Will Open Next Month
According to NHAI, four lanes of the interchange road will be ready by June 15, while work on the remaining four lanes will be completed soon. This interchange road is part of the 31 km expressway under construction. With the expressway opening, people from UP, Delhi, and Haryana can reach Noida Airport directly.
Farmers Protest In Haryana Also
Farmers are protesting against the construction work of Greenfield Expressway. Farmers have demanded a cut from the Faridabad-Ballabhgarh bypass KMP link to the entry point of Delhi Mumbai Express and Mohana.
