The central government has made a significant decision by appointing Pradeep Singh Kharola as the new DG of NTA and removing Subodh Kumar. A few days ago, the centre summoned Subodh Kumar amid the NEET controversy, and questions were asked. Subodh Kumar was also targeted in all the allegations, and there was a controversy about his working style. Now, amid the growing controversy, the government has made this significant reshuffle.
Why Was Subodh Removed?
For information, let us tell you that Subodh Kumar got the command of NTA only last year. He was an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, so there were high expectations of him. But how he got embroiled in controversies has caused tremendous damage to his image. Due to the allegations against him, the government also felt pressure on itself, the effect of which is now visible in this type of action.
By the way, such a decision was also taken because, on the one hand, there were allegations of paper leak; on the other hand, many exams had to be postponed and cancelled. The big thing was that all the problems were seen in the exams conducted by NTA. Recently, the CSIR-UGC-NET exam was also delayed to 21 June. Its new dates have not been announced; it has just been said that it is impossible to conduct the exam right now due to a lack of resources.
Game Of Trust, Students Angry
Earlier, NTA had cancelled the UGC-NET exam. It was said that inputs were received that there was some irregularity in the exam, which was the reason for its cancellation. Earlier, this exam was to be held on 18 June. Due to this, doubts have arisen in the students’ minds about all the exams, and a lack of credibility is visible. It is said that the government is not maintaining transparency; there are loopholes in the administration itself.
