Team India New Chief Selector: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the new selection committee. The Cricket Advisory Committee has announced a five-member committee. Chetan Sharma has once again been selected as the chief selector.
After the T20 World Cup 2022 defeat, the selection committee comprising Chetan Sharma was sacked by the BCCI. Apart from Chetan Sharma, Shiv Sunder Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, and Sreedharan Sarat have been selected for the five-member committee.
Big Responsibility Given To Chetan Sharma Again
The CAC consisting of Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra and Jatin Paranjpe, has selected this five-member committee. Chetan Sharma has been made the chief selector of Indian cricket for the second time in a row.
Let us tell you that the Indian Cricket Board had received around 600 applications for the selection panel, of which 11 people were selected for the interview. Chetan Sharma has been selected in the selection panel from North Zone, Sreedharan Sarat South Zone, Salil Ankola West Zone, Shiv Sunder Das East Zone and Subroto Banerjee from Central Zone.

Big Giants Had Applied
Chetan Sharma and his midfield partner Harvinder Singh had reapplied for the post of selectors. It also included Venkatesh Prasad, Nayan Mongia, Maninder Singh, Atul Vasan, Nikhil Chopra, Amay Khursiya, Gyanendra Pandey and Mukund Kumar.
Earlier, the BCCI official had said Chetan and his committee are still watching domestic cricket. He watched the entire Vijay Hazare Trophy matches. The committee members also watched the matches of the first two rounds of the Ranji Trophy. Debashish Mohanty was at Eden Gardens to watch the Bengal and Himachal Pradesh match. He has got an extension of two months till December 25.
