The fans grandly welcomed the team at the airport. The Indian team has reached the semi-finals by winning all its matches in the ongoing tournament.
BCCI shared the video and wrote, “The Indian team has reached Guyana for the semi-final match against England.” The Indian team has reached the semi-finals by defeating Australia by 27 runs. India has won all the matches it has played so far. The game against Canada was washed out due to rain. Meanwhile, the England team also reached Guyana for the semi-finals. As soon as they boarded the plane for Georgetown, England Cricket tweeted, “England will be in the semi-finals.”
India and England clashed in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 19 months ago in Adelaide, where England defeated India by 10 wickets. India has not won the T20 World Cup since 2007. The Indian team last won the ICC trophy in 2013, when India defeated England to win the ICC Champions Trophy.
