India to Boost Smartphone Production; Qualcomm to Set Up 6G and 100 5G Labs

The government wants more and more smartphone manufacturing in India. The government has partnered with the American company Qualcomm in this series. The government has also prepared a new roadmap for this.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that American tech company Qualcomm will set up 6G and 100 5G labs in India in collaboration with the central and state governments. In the same sequence, Vaishnav also inaugurated Qualcomm’s design centre. The American company has also decided to invest Rs 177.27 crore in India. This will also create employment opportunities because work is being done to create a team of 1600 people.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that semiconductor manufacturing will be done here from beginning to end. Apart from this, it also fulfils Prime Minister Modi’s vision. This will complete the design, manufacturing and ATMP of semiconductors. This will prove to be a big step in such a situation. PM has also prepared a semiconductor value chain and ecosystem.

What Is The Government’s Plan?

The Government of India is continuously taking new steps to boost the smartphone market. The government has also reduced the import tax on some parts of smartphones. The government wants the maximum manufacturing of smartphones to happen in India.

Along with this, smartphones will also be reduced in India. If more smartphones are made in India, their prices will also be reduced. In such a situation, it can be said that the government has made this big decision.
