America fears that China can spy on it by buying land for farming in its countries. As we know, land for agriculture is always bought in villages away from the city, but China has also taken hundreds of acres of land on lease near an air force base in the US. US experts say that this can become a big challenge for national security.

Many agricultural experts believe that taking land for farming started in 1990. Many rich countries take land on lease from other poor countries and do farming. Poor countries think this is profitable, but it does not happen. Rich countries grow water-intensive crops such as rice, cotton and coffee on these foreign lands. Continuous cultivation of these crops on the same land reduces the fertile capacity of the land.
