India’s Gaganyaan Spaceship
It is noteworthy that the Artemis Treaty, based on the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, is a set of non-binding principles designed to guide exploration in civilian space. It is a US-led effort to return humans to the Moon by 2025 to explore areas on Mars and other planets.
At the same time, India plans to send the first human-crewed spaceship, Gaganyaan, which may happen in late 2024 or early 2025. Earlier, a White House official had said that NASA and ISRO are developing a strategic framework for human-crewed space flight this year.
Semiconductor Plant in India
In the semiconductor field, American companies are tying up to construct semiconductor systems in India. In a statement, chip company Micron Technology said that Micron would set up a semiconductor testing and assembly plant in Gujarat with a total investment of $2.75 billion.
Micron said it would invest $ 825 million on its behalf for this plant to be developed in two phases. The Central and State Governments will invest the remaining amount.
