PM Modi US Visit: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming state visit to America, a special ‘Modi Ji Thali’ was prepared at a New Jersey restaurant. Modi is going to the US at the invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.
The US President and his wife will host Modi for a state dinner on June 22. After his first state visit, PM Narendra Modi will also become the first Indian PM to address a joint sitting of the US Congress for the second time.
Chef Shripad Kulkarni has curated a special plate to welcome PM Modi. From Khichdi, Rasgulla, Sarso Da Saag, and Dum Aloo to Kashmiri, Idli, Dhokla, Buttermilk and Papad, ‘Modi Ji Thali’ has been included.
To promote awareness about millet, the restaurant has prepared scrumptious platters prepared using millet. The owner of the same restaurant has also planned to launch another thali dedicated to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
The restaurant owner said, “We plan to launch the thali soon.” He said there is full confidence that the thali will be famous. After Modi ji Thali am also planning to launch Dr Jaishankar Thali as he is also a rockstar famous among Indian American community.
Organizers have announced that Indian Americans plan to welcome the Prime Minister on June 18 with ‘India Unity Day’ marches in 20 major cities across the US.

On the appeal of the Government of India, the United Nations has declared 2023 as Millets Year, i.e., International Millet Year. After the recommendation of the Government of India in 2019, 2023 is being celebrated for the first time as Millet Year.
Modi Special Thali Has Been Made Earlier Also
This is not the first time a restaurant has curated a thali in the name of PM Modi. Before PM Modi’s birthday on September 17, 2022, a Delhi restaurant launched a 56-inch ‘Narendra Modi Thali’. The restaurant named ARDOR 2.1 in Connaught Place, Delhi, had 56 items. The customers had the option of choosing vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Sumit Kalara, the owner of ARDOR 2.1 restaurant, told news agency ANI earlier about the special thali; I greatly respect PM Modi-ji. He is the pride of our nation, and we wanted to gift him something unique on his birthday. Hence, we decided to launch ’56 Inch Modi Ji’ thali.
We want to gift this plate to the Prime Minister. Want him to come to the restaurant and enjoy it. Due to security reasons, we can’t do this, so this is for all his fans who love PM.
