Russia Forgives $23 Billion in African Debt; Wants to Root Out America

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced a mega plan and a debt waiver of $23 billion to root out America from the African continent. President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia has forgiven the debt of $ 23 billion to African states.

Russian President Putin announced this at the second Russia-Africa summit held in St.Petersburg, which aims to open the market for Russia in African countries. Russia has to establish itself in Asia and Africa after severe economic sanctions imposed by European countries, so Putin’s announcement is considered very important.

Putin Announced Mega Plan

Speaking at the Russia-Africa summit, President Putin said that 90% of African countries’ debts had been settled, leaving no “direct” debt but rather some financial obligations. Russia’s attention to Africa continues to grow, Putin said, as evidenced by plans to expand its diplomatic presence on the continent.

He stressed that “this is a real practical step to intensify work with African countries in the political, trade, humanitarian, cultural and tourism fields.”

He added that Moscow also supports further representation of African countries in the UN Security Council and other UN structures.

He said, ” Africa’s political and economic role in the world is increasing rapidly; the African continent is becoming a new centre of power, which all have to consider.”

Africa Has Presented An Arbitration Proposal.

Let us tell you that at the summit, a mediation proposal has also been presented by African countries to end the Ukraine war, which Russian President Putin mentioned in his speech.

Putin cited the African Peace Initiative for Ukraine as an example of the growing political role of the African continent and said that “this in itself says a lot because, before any mediation mission, countries with so-called developed democracies are involved. It was a monopoly.”

Putin’s Target On European Countries

President Putin targeted European countries for lagging in developing African countries and said that the colonial ‘legacy’ has become an obstacle in the development of Africa.

According to Putin, the situation in many regions of Africa remains unstable because of the colonial era’s legacy and the “divide and rule” policy adopted by the West.

He said, “Many manifestations of colonialism have not yet ended and are still used by those powers. Finance, technology, the digital sector and foot security are still monopolized by a few countries, which is unacceptable. It needs to be fought.”

He said that the development of the African continent is hindered by terrorism, the spread of extremist ideology, international crime and piracy, for which Putin has announced the training of African soldiers on behalf of the Russian military.

Putin said that Russia has signed military-technical cooperation agreements with more than 40 African states and has provided them with various weapons and equipment.

“Many pieces of equipment are being given free of cost to strengthen the security and sovereignty of these states,” he said.

At the same time, Putin also referred to the situation in Libya, saying that “it is important to achieve genuine national unity to prevent the Libyan territory from becoming a zone of confrontation between third states.”
