In the first half of 2023 alone, 82% of the total smartphone units were shipped. In this, Samsung’s flip phones are in the highest demand.
Why has Demand For Foldable Phones Increased Among Women?

Why Did Demand Increase?
Samsung has started assembling its foldable and flip smartphones locally in India. About 6.35 lakh foldable smartphones have been sold in India in the year 20023.
According to market research and analyst firm Techarc, the contribution of foldable and flip smartphones in the total smartphone revenue 2023 is 1.8 per cent, while the share in sales is 0.5 per cent.
