Mahindra has launched an affordable variant of Scorpio-N. Scorpio-N Z8 Select has been introduced by the company, whose ex-showroom price is Rs 16.99 lakh. It is placed below the range-topping Z8L variant and the mid-level Z6 variant on the SUV.
Price and Specifications
The new Scorpio-N Z8 Select is about Rs 1.65 lakh cheaper than the existing Z8 petrol-MT, while the Z8 Select diesel-MT is about Rs 1.11 lakh cheaper than the Z8 variant. This new car variant brings key features to the model, including double barrel LED headlamps with LED DRLs, LED projector fog lamps and sequential turn indicators integrated into the ORVMs. It also gets diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels and will be available in a Midnight Black colour scheme.
Interior and Features
The cabin gets coffee-black leatherette upholstery and Adrenox Connect with built-in Alexa. This unit has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and a 7-inch TFT instrument console. The new Adrenox technology also brings more than 60 connected car features to the SUV, while features like a sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto have also been included.
Engine
The Scorpio-N Z8 Select will be available in petrol and diesel engine options and manual and automatic transmission options. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor produces 197 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, while the 2.2-litre diesel produces 173 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual or a torque converter. You can buy it at dealerships starting March 1.
