Mohsin Naqvi Directed Return Trophy: Team India defeated Pakistan in the final to win the Asia Cup 2025 trophy. The Indian players had made it clear that they would not accept the trophy from ACC Chief Mohsin Naqvi, who is also a minister in the Pakistani government. Mohsin then took a surprising step and took the trophy with him. Team India has not yet received the trophy, and everyone is wondering when Naqvi will return the title to the winners. The ACC has now taken a strict step and ordered Mohsin to return the trophy.
ACC Takes Strict Action!
ACC Chief Mohsin Naqvi had taken the Asia Cup trophy with him, and according to a Jagran News report, the hotel in Dubai where Naqvi is currently staying also houses the Asia Cup trophy. Meanwhile, the BCCI is discussing with its Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and other regional cricket boards to bring the trophy back to India. The authorities have taken strict action, and Naqvi has been instructed to deliver the trophy to the ACC office in Dubai’s Sports City, where it will be handed over to the winning team as a deposit.

The Trophy Is Not Mohsin Naqvi’s Personal Property
The report also states that although Mohsin Naqvi is the ACC chief, the trophy is not his personal property. It belongs to the Asian Cricket Council, and therefore, Mohsin cannot keep it under any circumstances. The ACC meeting in Bangladesh was not completed and was scheduled to be presented in Dubai on Tuesday, but the BCCI has requested that it be postponed. Clearly, the Indian Cricket Board is preparing to take drastic action and file a complaint against Naqvi. Given the controversy surrounding Naqvi, it would not be surprising if he loses his position as ACC chief.
