Mini India has launched the new Mini Charged Edition. This vehicle is a limited edition. That is, only 20 people in the country can buy this. The company will bring it into the Indian market as a Completely-Built-Unit (CBU). Its price in the Indian market has been Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Mini Charged Edition is based on the Mini 3-door Cooper SE and is the first limited edition. It features a white-coloured multitone roof with Chilli Red exterior colour. Also, Aspen white trim has been used on the headlight and taillight rings, door handles, logo, and tailgate handle. The car’s modern design and the 17-inch power-spoke alloy wheels look cute.
The company has kept the multifunction steering wheel in the interior with Napa leather. A 12.7-inch digital multifunction instrument display is available, which has been given with a black panel design. Apart from this, an 8.8-inch high-resolution, full-colour touchscreen has been provided. The rest of the Energetic Yellow colour scheme can also be seen in the unique badging on the start/stop toggle switch, gear lever and door sills.
The all-electric Mini is powered by a 32.6 kWh battery that offers a range of up to 270 km on a single charge. The motor generates a power of 184 bhp and a torque of 270 Nm. It takes 7.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 mph. If you charge with a 50 kW DC fast charge, the car will be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in 36 minutes. Whereas charging with a 2.3 kW AC charger takes 9 hours and 43 minutes.
