Royal Enfield Hikes Adventure Bike Price; Can You Afford It Now?

Royal Enfield announced the prices of the new Himalayan at Motoverse 2023 in November, which was an introductory price and was valid only till December 31. Now, Royal Enfield has revealed the latest prices of the Himalayan 450.

Accordingly, the Kaza Brown colour scheme cost has increased by ₹ 16,000, while Slate Blue and Red prices have increased by ₹ 15,000. Apart from this, the cost of Henley Black and Comet White has increased by ₹ 14,000, so let us know the latest Himalayan price.

How Much Have Prices Increased?

The new prices are ₹2.85 lahks for Kaza Brown, ₹2.89 lahks for Slate Blue and Red and ₹2.93 lahks for Comet White, while Hanley Black is now priced at ₹2.98 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will compete with the BMW G310GS, KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.

New Sherpa 450 Engine

Powering the Himalayan 450 is the new Sherpa 450 engine. This is a 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit, which Royal Enfield has manufactured for the first time. It is tuned to generate 40bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.

Specification

The new Himalayan is 55mm longer and 12mm wider but 54mm shorter than its outgoing model. The wheelbase has also increased by 1,510mm. Due to this, the road presence of the new Himalayan has also increased. Royal Enfield has lowered the fuel tank and moved the air box higher for better weight. The stock seat height is 825mm and can be raised to 845mm.
