Uber Signs MoU With ONDC
Uber had signed an MoU with India’s Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) on 22 February. The company wants to provide maximum mobility offers on the Uber app with the help of ONDC. By collaborating with ONDC, Uber can provide safer and cheaper ride services. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Government of India has created ONDC as a non-profit private organization.
Dara Khosrowshahi Also Met Nandan Nilekani
Earlier, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi had met Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani in Bengaluru. He had said that companies and governments worldwide should learn from India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). He also expressed his desire to take advantage of India’s technological progress. When Nandan Nilekani asked him about India, he said this country is one of the toughest markets. Indian customers want a lot and pay very little.
