If you want to become a permanent citizen of another country, then it is also necessary for the couple to show their marriage certificate. If you want to open a joint account in the bank, then a marriage certificate can be used as the basis.
When Can Marriage Be Registered?
If you are newly married, you should apply for a marriage certificate within 30 days. However, if there is some delay, the marriage can be registered even after five years with additional fees.

How To Apply For Marriage Certificate
For a marriage certificate, one has to apply to the marriage registrar. After getting the appointment, you must go to the Registrar on the appointed day with all the necessary documents.

If the marriage takes place in the temple, then a certificate is obtained from Gurudwara, the Church, and two witnesses; if the marriage takes place for the second time, then the divorce certificate of the first marriage, death certificate on the death of the first husband, court documents on court marriage.
Age Of Couple To Register Marriage
Let us tell you, to obtain a marriage certificate, the woman must be at least 18 years of age on the date of marriage. Apart from this, the age of the man should be 21 years.
