This deal for the GE-414 engine is being done after the approval of the US Congress. It is being said that after getting the green signal from the US Congress, this deal will be done in India under 100 per cent technology transfer. In the coming days, the Indian Air Force is preparing to form at least six squadrons of Tejas aircraft, whose prototype has been prepared. The Modi government claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his national security team want to manufacture 500 engines through Make in India. HAL says it is capable of delivering the F-414 engine. As per the information, the HAL Bengaluru and Nashik divisions may be entrusted with taking over and starting production in collaboration with GE.
