Pakistan has got the hosting Asia Cup 2023. But the BCCI has clarified that Team India will not go to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup. There is a long-standing dispute about where the Asia Cup will be played in such a situation. PCB is adamant that it should be organized in Pakistan only. Of course, Team India should play its matches in a neutral place. Meanwhile, reports surfaced that “Asia Cup 2023 might not happen if PCB sticks to the hybrid model. Will be held during the window of the cup.”

It is being said in the media reports that “PCB is ready to sacrifice the Asia Cup because BCCI wants to organize a five-nation tournament.” Earlier, the PCB had introduced a ‘hybrid model’ for the Asia Cup, in which it was said that Pakistan would play all its matches in Pakistan. Team India can play matches in UAE, Dubai, Oman or Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the news is coming that the Asia Cup will not be played anymore. Any other tournament of five countries can be played in its place.
