At this time, Suryakumar Yadav remains another name of fear for the bowlers. Many cricketers believe that seeing the way Suryakumar is batting; it seems that he is batting on another planet. In this episode, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has also praised Team India’s star, Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav scored his second T20 century in the 2nd T20 against New Zealand at Bay Oval on 20 November. His 51-ball 111 not out helped India win by 65 runs. Not only Maxwell but everyone was surprised to see the difference between Yadav’s score and the scores of other batters. Maxwell praised Surya during a recent interview and said that even if he wanted to, he could not buy Surya in the Big Bash League.
Glenn Maxwell Says They Can’t Afford Suryakumar Yadav
Speaking on ‘The Grade Cricketer’ podcast, Glenn Maxwell said, “I didn’t know the game was going on. But I saw the scorecard afterwards and sent Finch (Aaron Finch) his picture and said, ‘Yeh aadmi kya kar raha hai? He’s batting on a completely different planet! Look at others’ scores, and then he scores 111 in 50. I saw the replays of the innings the next day, and it’s a shame he’s so much better than everyone else. It’s almost hard to watch. He’s better than any player we have.”
Maxwell had a funny answer when asked whether Suryakumar Yadav could play in the Big Bash League (BBL). He said that no team could afford such an incredible player. Maxwell said, “We won’t be able to afford Suryakumar Yadav in the Big Bash League, no matter how much money we have. We must go all out, save money and then hope they agree.”
