Batting in the first match, Chennai scored 179 runs, chasing which Gujarat Titans won by 5 wickets. Gill played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 36 balls in this match. In which he hit 6 fours and 3 sixes. At the same time, Rashid Khan took 2 wickets while bowling brilliantly and scored 10 runs in 3 balls to give the team victory.
