In the first match, Gujarat won the toss and invited the Chennai team to bat, in which Ruturaj scored a brilliant 92 runs in 50 balls while performing brilliantly. Ruturaj hit long sixes in this innings. Out of his innings of 92 runs, 70 came from boundaries only. He hit four fours and nine sixes in the innings.

After the match, Gujarat team captain Hardik Pandya praised and said – Ruturaj Gaikwad played a perfect inning. That, too, with very good deliveries, if Ruturaj keeps batting like this. Batting in the first match, Chennai scored 179 runs, chasing which Gujarat Titans won by 5 wickets. Gill played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 36 balls in this match. In which he hit 6 fours and 3 sixes. At the same time, Rashid Khan took 2 wickets while bowling brilliantly and scored 10 runs in 3 balls to give the team victory.
