There Should Be No Vice-Captain Of The Indian Team – Ravi Shastri

According to Ravi Shastri, not making him the vice-captain is the right decision. On the ICC Review Podcast, he said about KL Rahul,

The team management will decide who will be the vice-captain. He is aware of KL Rahul’s form and also knows his mindset. He also knows how he is looking at Shubman Gill. It has always been my belief that never make any vice-captain of the Indian team. Instead, I will go to the field with my best XI and if the captain has to go off the field then you will have no option and anyone can take the role. It’s simple because you don’t want to complicate things.

Let us tell you that former cricketer Saba Karim believes that the name of the new vice-captain of India has not been announced because of Rishabh Pant. He said that the team management is probably waiting for Pant. He also noted that Pant was being groomed as a captain before the accident.
