In the 66th match of IPL 2023 played against Rajasthan Royals on 19 May, Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh failed to spread the magic of his bat. The clash took place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. After winning the toss, Sanju Samson invited Shikhar Dhawan’s team to bat. But the team’s first wicket fell in the very first over. Simran was caught brilliantly by Trent Boult on his ball.

Trent Boult came to start bowling towards Rajasthan Royals. He bowled the second ball to Simran, on which the batsman decided to defend. The ball came inside fast after hitting the tip. After which, Trent took a brilliant catch by diving on the right side.
Significantly, if we talk about the points table 2023, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals currently have 12 points in their account. However, Sanju Samson’s Pink Army is at number six due to the good net run rate. But if Punjab wins this match, it will go ahead of Rajasthan. But if this does not happen, RR can go to the playoffs.
