Sanctions Have No Effect On North Korea, Will Launch Three New Spy Satellites Next Year

North Korea says it will launch three additional spy satellites next year and build unmanned aerial vehicles to bolster its military. State media KCNA reported this on Sunday.

The plan was presented as part of Kim’s address to a key meeting, in which he said the country had no choice but to pursue its nuclear ambitions and pursue deeper ties with US adversaries. Countries like North Korea face unprecedented confrontational steps by the US; perhaps Russia is also included in this context.

Kim also said that Pyongyang has now ruled out the possibility of uniting with South Korea, adding that the country must fundamentally change its doctrine and direction toward South Korea.

Many Restrictions Were Imposed

North Korea says it successfully launched its first military spy satellite on Nov. 21, sending images of the White House, the Pentagon, US military bases and target areas in South Korea. The move escalated regional tensions and brought new sanctions on the US, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
