Did America and Ukraine Conspire to Blow Up Nord Stream Pipelines?

Russia has described the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines in September as a conspiracy by several countries. Russia said on Wednesday that it has been probing the attack for a long time.

Russia said that based on their investigation, it could be said that probably several countries together blew up the Nord Stream pipelines.

Based on leaked documents, the Washington Post claimed last week that the US knew about a Ukrainian plan to attack the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines three months in advance.

When asked about this, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the media reports about the explosions were designed to deflect attention from those who were responsible.

Leaked documents show that in June 2022, four months after Russia invaded Ukraine, a US spy agency was told that Ukrainian military divers were planning an attack on the Nord Stream pipeline.

He explained that he was reporting directly to the country’s military commander-in-chief, who was planning the attack. On September 26 last year, there was an explosion in the Nord Stream pipeline of natural gas reaching Germany via the Baltic Sea from Russia.

The explosion was so powerful that it badly affected the pipelines. The Nord Stream was a boon for Germany. Because of this, gas was being supplied to Germany at cheaper prices than Russia.

However, after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, a very small amount of oil was being supplied through this pipeline. But still, Russia was earning billions of dollars every day from this.

After this attack, western countries said that these blasts were done deliberately. He held Russia responsible for this attack. Western countries believed that these attacks were made to implicate Ukraine. At the same time, Russia held America and Ukraine accountable for this.
