How Much Has The Fare Decreased On These Routes?

Why Did The Fares Come Down?
Alok Bajpai, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ixigo Group, said that last year, airfares had jumped around Diwali due to limited capacity, mainly due to the suspension of Go First Airlines. He said that additional capacity has been added this year, so the average airfare on major routes has come down by 20-25 per cent year-on-year in the last week of October. On the other hand, there was a decline in crude oil prices this year compared to the previous year. The effect of this has also been seen. Reducing crude oil prices greatly impacts the airline’s operational costs.
