Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India today launched its new SP160 bike in India at an initial price of Rs 1.18 lakh ex-showroom, which has been introduced with single-disc. At the same time, the cost of the dual-disc variant bike is Rs 1.22 lakh ex-showroom. The company offers a 10-year warranty package (3 years standard + 7 years optional) on its new bike.
Honda SP160 Color Options
The Honda SP160 bike has been introduced with 6 colour options. These colours are Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Matte Dark Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black and Pearl Deep Ground Grey.
Honda SP160 Features
The new SP160 bike sports a sporty, bold tank design and aerodynamics. Apart from this, features like LED headlamp and tail-lamp, 130 mm wide rear tire and sporty muffler are present; you get an LCD screen for generators like service dew, gear position, side stand, fuel gauge and mileage. In this, you get 177 mm ground clearance, a 594 mm long seat, a 1347 mm long wheelbase, and 17-inch wheels available in the bike.
Honda SP160 Engine
The new Honda SP160 has an OBD2-standard 162 cc programmed fuel injection, i.e. PGM-FI engine, which generates 13.5 hp power and 14.6 Nm torque. And the solenoid valve used in the engine acts as an automatic choke during engine start and warm-up. According to the company, it works to provide extra air during ignition and engine heating.
Apart from this, a button has been given in it, by pressing which there is a facility to stop the engine at a place like signal/stop. A switch has also been provided to activate the flashing indicator light in conditions like emergency stops and poor visibility.
Honda SP160 Suspension and Braking
Suspension in the new Honda SP160 bike has been given a front telescopic fork and rear mono shock unit, and when it comes to braking, it gets disc brakes on both front and rear wheels with single-channel ABS.

Bikes competing with the new Honda SP160 include Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer, Pulsar P150 and TVS Apache RTR 160 2V.
