Mumbai Captain Harmanpreet Kaur Created History, Scored The First Half-Century Of WPL

The first match of Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 is being played between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants. In this match, Mumbai captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored a half-century off just 22 balls with the help of 11 fours. Harmanpreet became the first batsman to score a half-century in WPL history.

Harmanpreet played a blistering inning of 65 off 30 balls. During this, his strike rate was 216. He hit 14 fours in his innings. Sneh Rana made Harmanpreet his victim.

Gujarat Giants captain Beth Mooney won the toss and invited Mumbai to bat first. Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Mathews landed as the opening pair. Yastika could not do anything special and got out after scoring one run. At the same time, Mathews played an inning of 47 runs.
