Team India’s Coach Suddenly Changed After Defeat In T20 World Cup!

India has to play a series of 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches on the New Zealand tour. This white ball series will start in Wellington on November 18. Senior players like regular captain Rohit Sharma, star batsman Virat Kohli, opener KL Rahul and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin have been rested for the tour. Along with this, the coaching staff has also been given a break after the T20 World Cup.

This Giant Got Command

A BCCI (Cricket Board of India) source told PTI, “The NCA team led by Laxman will be joined by the team travelling to New Zealand, which includes Hrishikesh Kanitkar (batting coach) and Sairaj Bahule (bowling coach).”

This Legend Will Be The Captain Of The ODI Team

This is not the first time Laxman has been given this responsibility in the Indian team. Laxman had last coached the team during tours of Zimbabwe and Ireland and the recent one-day home series against South Africa. All-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20I series, while veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan will lead the ODI side.

Rohit Will Return For Bangladesh Tour

Regular captain Rohit will return for the Bangladesh tour. Kohli and Ashwin will also return to the squad for the Bangladesh tour, where India will play three ODIs and two Test matches. The tour will start on December 4.

Players not part of the New Zealand tour have started leaving after the team’s exclusion from the T20 World Cup. Kohli has left Adelaide, while Rahul and Rohit are also expected to leave soon. Many players of the team will go from Sydney and Perth.
