The ICC has updated the ODI rankings. In the latest ODI rankings released on Wednesday, Ireland’s young player Harry Tector created history by breaking into the top 10. Tector recently performed brilliantly in the series played against Bangladesh. Due to this, he has jumped in the ODI batting rankings. Tector scored a career-best 140 during the second match against Bangladesh at Chelmsford. The 23-year-old Tector finished the series as the leading run-scorer with 206 runs.

Tector also gained 72 rating points and entered the top 10. Tector has now reached the seventh position with 722 points. Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to top the list with 886 points. Tector’s position of 7th is the best with the bat for Ireland. This is the highest-ever rating achieved by a male Irish batsman in ODI cricket.
Loss To Virat Kohli
Indian batsman Virat Kohli has suffered due to the coming of the tector. Kohli has now moved to the eighth position with 719 points. At the same time, Rohit Sharma occupies the 10th position. Paul Stirling achieved the highest rating points for an Irish player—those who reached 697 marks in June 2021.
