RCB had to face defeat in the match against Chennai Super Kings. Chennai Super Kings defeated the RCB team by 8 runs. Batting first, Chennai scored 226 runs for 6 wickets. Playing in the counter-innings, the RCB team scored 218 runs for 8 wickets. RCB suffered its third defeat this season.
